Why give to the NCO Youth & Family
Services Endowment?
NCO Youth & Family Services has played
a significant role in youth development and family services at
the state, local and county levels for more than 30 years. Growing
from what began as a small group of concerned parents and local
community and religious leaders to now a 30+ staff that maintains
24-hour crisis intervention services as well as safe housing for
young men, and prevention and counseling services for families
and youth. In order to sustain the many programs and services
that help form strong families and assist young people to become
responsible adults, NCO asks for your contribution.
Your gift will:
- Help
sustain and grow the youth development and family services programs,
which have served the community for more than 30 years
- Leave
a permanent legacy and ensure the financial stability of our
programs and services
- Create
more opportunities to assist young people and families who are
in need
- Deter
drug and alcohol abuse while encouraging leadership and self-reliance
What is the goal of the endowment fund?
NCO's Endowment Fund is managed by The
DuPage Community Foundation of Wheaton. The Foundation is dedicated
to developing and directing philanthropy to meet the needs of
DuPage County.
An initial investment of $25,000 was made
to the Endowment Fund in May 1, 2002 and the goal is to reach
$700,000 by 2015.
NCO seeks to ensure the long-term financial
viability of the organization and establish the security of a
reliable source of income in perpetuity. The Endowment Fund is
evidence that NCO is an enduring and stable institution. Making
NCO part of an individual's estate plan offers security to future
youth and families that otherwise would have no assistance.
Why an endowment
fund at the DuPage Community Foundation?
The DuPage Community Foundation is a grantmaking
foundation created in 1986 to benefit the people of DuPage County,
Illinois. It receives contributions and bequests both large and
small into a permanent endowment. The earnings from the endowment
are used to address community needs. Because the Foundation is
a public charity, donors enjoy maximum tax advantages. The DuPage
Community Foundation offers access to matching gift opportunities,
as well as more than 900 financial advisors who can recommend
incorporating the NCO Youth & Family Services endowment fund
into their clients' estate plans.
